If you like farm fresh vegetables and fruits, this is prime time for your palate. Coming into the best time of year for peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant, zucchini and summer squash along with you guessed it, sweet corn!!!! Over the next two weeks, you will be able to purchase and eat the best sweet corn of the season from any of the grocery stores and neighborhood farms stands. But do not wait to long for these succulent ears, as the season will be over before you know it.

If fresh fruit is what you crave, grab your blueberries and black berries while you can. You may be able to still find a few strawberries out there, but now is the time for the melon season. Juicy watermelon, cantaloupe and honey dew are ripe for the eating along with an abundance of fresh peaches.

Here is a recipe you have to try. Halve the peaches and remove the pits. Grill them a few minutes on each side getting chard grill marks. Remove from the grill and place a tablespoon of Mascarpone cheese in the center and drizzle with honey. Try this for your next cookout dessert, your family and friends will think you are a gourmet chef!!!!! Enjoy!!!!
